Rule Change for 2010 Market Steers

Just passing the word that at Monday night’s fair board meeting the “No Showing of Market Steers Under the age of 10” rule was repealed.
 
Now any youth of 4-H age is eligible to show market steers. You can contact the extension office for more details and market steer weigh in date.
Steer weigh in is the last week of December and calves are currently being acquired for next years fair. Please pass this information on to whoever this rule change may affect.

Correction of information:

Market Steer Weigh in is December 19th, 9am to 1:30p.m.

There also appears to be some changes coming to the 2010 jr. fair night. Some kind of dance competition will take the place of the lip sync and the calf scramble will be done differently as well.
